Everyone needs a friend and true friendship is one of the most wonderful gifts anyone could have.  I have been blessed with some wonderful friends through my Stampin’ Up! business.  One of the reasons I love what I am doing.
Tonight I decided to take part in the Mojo Monday challenge # 321.  I love this layout, and so many talented people have shared some beautiful cards.  Check them out here

Santa’s List

Friday I had an early Thanksgiving with some of my children that live here in Oregon.  Nineteen (19) of us gathered together – the  house was packed with fun and laughter, and good food!  What a blessing!!!  I feel like Thanksgiving has come and gone, even though it’s not until this next week. This has caused me to begin looking ahead to December and Christmas festivities.
Inspired by several cards I have seen using Stampin’ Ups! Santa’s List set and the World Map background stamp, I dug out my Santa’s List set and The Open Sea set.  Next, since I associate Christmas with Christmas carols I used the Music Notes wheel.  Here’s my finished card.

 Wonderful Wreath

With Christmas around the corner it’s time to begin thinking about how to decorate the house. I’m trying to decide whether I want a wreath or not this year. Inspired by the thought of a wreath hanging on the front door I created this card.  The background was created with the wax paper resist technique.

Wishing You

I love to give presents more than I like receiving them.  Making someone feel special gives me a lot of joy!  The stamp with a stack of presents in Wishing You stamp set from Stampin’ Up! makes a wonderful focal point on a card.  I can image a stack of beautifully wrapper boxes in assorted sizes and colors ready to give to that extraordinary loved one!

Festive Flurry

I really enjoy making cards with a lot of sparkle.  They remind me of holiday lights and the ornaments I made as a child.
Stampin’ Ups! Glimmer Paper in silver is absolutely stunning and I couldn’t help myself in using it on this card for my Christmas Stamp Camp.  I added more sparkle on the side of the card by using a stamp from the Everything Eleanor set stamped in VersaMark; added the Heat and Stick powder to the image; and finished by sprinkling the image with Dazzling Diamonds (lightly heat set once again).  Once I had added the touch of Dazzling Diamonds this card sparkled all over!

Supplies (Stampin’ Up!)

Stamps:  Festive Flurry; Mosaic Madness; Everything Eleanor
Paper:  Whisper White; Marina Mist; Glimmer Paper – Silver
Ink:  Soft Sky; Marina Mist
Accessories:  Festive Flurry Frame Lits; Big Shot; Heat and Stick Powder; Dazzling Diamonds; Mosaic Punch; Silver Ribbon; Sponge; Stampin’ Dimensionals

Joyful Christmas and Envelope Punch Board

I love the Envelope Punch Board, it is so easy to use and makes more than envelopes.  It’s a must have.
I wanted to make something for the ladies to take the cards they made home in.  So I got out the Envelope Punch Board and the Joyful Christmas stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and got to work.  This box holds eight cards and is very easy to assemble.

I didn’t like the way the belly band fit around the box, and tried several options for scoring and nothing seems acceptable.  After some frustration I came up with the idea of using the crimper – and voila, the look I wanted!

Box Information

Paper size for box:  9 1/2″ x 9 1/2″
Score first score line at 3.5″ then punch and score again at 5″ and punch.  Turn paper 45 decrees and score on first score line, punch, score on second score line, punch and continue around until last side done.  Fold and secured with adhesive.

Belly band size:  1 3/4″ x 12″

Run through crimper then smooth to stretch.  Secure ends.  Add decoration as desired.

Supplies (Stampin’ Up!)

Stamps:  Joyful Christmas; Petite Pairs
Paper:  Whisper White; Old Olive
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler; Old Olive
Accessories:  Deco Labels Collection Frame Lits; Big Shot; Pearl Basic Jewels; Seam Binding Ribbon – Cherry Cobbler; Crimper

Chalk Talk and Festive Flurry

I have been busy getting ready for Christmas Stamp Camp and a fundraiser for a non-profit where each lady made four cards of three designs, so my on-line posting time has been on hold.  Hopefully once this week is over I can start posting regularly.
I wanted to share the goodie bag I made for stamp camp so I took a break from all my preparations.  Actually I needed a few minutes of rest!  Ha!
I love the large stamp from the Chalk Talk stamp set, especially when I ink it in the Marina Mist then stamp it onto Whisper White.  It has a soft and delicate look to it when you add a bow and banner made of organza ribbon.  The snowflake dangles from a silver cord and is backed by a lacy style store purchased snowflake.

 Supplies (Stampin’ Up!)

Stamps:  Chalk Talk; Festive Flurry
Paper:  Whisper White
Ink:  Marina Mist
Accessories:  Organza ribbon; Chalk Talk Frame Lits; Big Shot; Cello Bags; store bought snowflake and clothes pin; bling
