Language of Love

I was looking at some of the blogs I love and checked out MOJO Monday’s weekly challenge.  Their sketch inspired me to make this Valentine card.  It was difficult for me to catch the glimmer and shine of the embossing powder and the punched hearts, but it does sparkle when you’re holding it!

Can you believe we just had Christmas and are moving at the speed of light to February 14th?  Scary isn’t it!

Stippled Blossoms and Papaya Collage

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to post anything.  I’ve been busy with holiday preparation and my son’s wedding.  What a wind whirl of a month!  Ha!
Last night I finally got out the stamps and prepped for a workshop today.  My hostess is a lovely lady who is such a kind and compassionate person!  I am blessed to know her!!
I knew she liked cards with flowers, butterflies, and birds, so I pulled out two nice stamp sets with flowers and a bird to accomplish my goal of creating a vintage card.

Wonderful Wreath Bag

The paper bag has so many uses.  You can put your lunch in it; make it into a paper bag album; make puppets out of it; use it as a trash bag; and the list goes on!  I decided to try and make a gift bag.  Inspired by a Christmas card I made using the Wonderful Wreath, here is what I came up with.  Very easy to make.
The Sweater Trim ribbon holds the bag shut.  I wove it under the Top Note die in the back so it stays in place.

Best of Snow

Another day home bound because of the snow.  We got at least 6 inches and today it didn’t make it out of the 20s.  I know it’s not as cold as some part of the country, but it is cold outside!  I wanted to share a picture of how pretty my view from my deck was this morning.  This was looking down towards the pond.  The pond is frozen over and looked like the perfect place to go ice skating!
On to the card….
As a little girl I loved glitter, I thought it was one of the prettiest things in the world!  It sparkles and shines and just seems so “happy”!!!  So,I sat down to make a “pretty” card, with glitter of course.
The snowflake stamp from Best of Snow set fits very nicely with the Festive Flurries Frame Lits.  I used the flourish stamp from Everything Eleanor because it’s how I image the wind would blow to make the snowflakes swirl!
After covering my craft room, myself, and one of my sweet dogs in glitter (ha!), here is the card I created.

With Christmas just around the corner, I need to get busy and get more cards made to send to friends and family.  I have a tendency to procrastinate!  Here’s my latest creation using the Wonderful Wreath stamp as the focal point.
For the white part of the bird’s wing I punched out the wing in white and then hand cut it down for an inside layer.

Joyful Christmas and Post Card

It’s snowing outside – lots! So I’ve spent the day playing in my craft room!
Once again I played with the Envelope Punch Board and created this next card base.  I intentionally bought the Postcard Stamp with Christmas in mind and I’m glad I did.  It works so well with so many stamps.
Here’s the inside of the card.

Santa’s List

The Envelope Punch Board is so much fun to play with and so easy to use.  I’ve seen numerous postings that are so much fun.
I learned a lot with this first attempt, like add the paper layers before punching!  I couldn’t get a good picture to show the tabs very well – sorry.  There is also Dazzling Diamond glitter on Santa.
