Follow My Heart

With Valentine’s Day rapidly approaching I know many of us are putting our creative energies to work to create cards that say “I love you with all my heart!”. Between the anniversary card for my sister and brother-in-law and the numerous birthday cards I’ve made, I know my creative energy seems to be in overdrive!
I have really enjoyed playing with the Language of Love and Follow My Heart sets this season.  I created a card with a texture background using the Arrows Textured Embossing Folder.  I wanted to stamp the Eiffel Tower, but did not want to have it embedded by the embossing folder, so I stamped it onto a piece of acetate using Stazon ink. then adhered it with Crystal Effects. I also cut two photo frames and adhered them together to give it additional strength since I wanted to pop up the frame. from the On Film Framelits Die.

Follow My Heart

With Valentines Day just around the corner, (yep just another month and a half), I’ve been working on some cards to celebrate the day and let my loved ones know I love them.  What comes next for me is to remember to mail them.  LOL!  Just ask my kids, my good intentions seem to get sidelined and my cards sit neatly in a box! Hoping this year is different!

I decided to use the challenge sketch for MOJO Monday again, and here is their sketch and the card.

Language of Love

I was looking at some of the blogs I love and checked out MOJO Monday’s weekly challenge.  Their sketch inspired me to make this Valentine card.  It was difficult for me to catch the glimmer and shine of the embossing powder and the punched hearts, but it does sparkle when you’re holding it!

Can you believe we just had Christmas and are moving at the speed of light to February 14th?  Scary isn’t it!
