No Bones About It and Booth Displays

Our last Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop I shared a Berry Basket I made for our booth at a local scrap-booking and stamping event. The basket was adorned with cute little dinosaurs from the No Bones About it set from Stampin’ Up!,. Let me share it with you again.

I told you I would share the wonderful birthday dinosaur cake one of the other demonstrators made using the Cutie Pie Thinlits.

Isn’t this so great! I love the base she created using a jar and M & M’s.

Let me share some other pictures from our booth.

Wacky Watercooler’s March Madness Blog Hop

2016 March Banner

Are you ready for a mad, mad Wacky Watercooler’s March Madness Blog Hop?  There are ten of us that will be showing off our “mad” creations, all Stampin’ Up Demonstrators who love our products!  We will each show you at least one fancy fold to delight and inspire you!

As you make your rounds through the blog tour you will see projects from some amazing stampers.  The projects will feature products from the Stampin’ Up! Handmade from the Heart Occasions, Sale-A-Bration and annual catalog to celebrate the occasions in our lives.

Before I share my projects with you, I want to remind you this is a circular Blog Hop. That means that wherever you begin, if you continue to go to the “next” blog on the list, you will eventually wind up right where you first started. You will find the “next” button (and the “previous” button if you want to go backwards) at the end of this post. The “home” button will give you a listing of all participating blogs.

If you have been moving forward through the hop you would have arrived here after visiting Buffy Cooper’s blog.  Isn’t she awesome!

Happy Hopping!

When preparing for this hop I looked at a lot of different fancy folds, and decided to share two fancy folds with you that I had never tried before.

The Swing Easel Card

This first fancy fold is called a Swing Easel Card fold.  It is actually an easy card to do, especially when there are so many videos on the internet to learn from.  I watched this video made by Debbie Henderson.

I can’t believe I only used one stamp to make this card!  Gotta love the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies!  Can you find where I stamped?

Pop Up Slider Card

I have to tell you I really liked making this card.  I love this fold and have more ideas in mind to share later.  You can find a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers here.  Since I wanted to mat the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper with Old Olive card stock I watched the video at the end of the tutorial rather than following the “pictured” instructions.

I chose to use the beautiful flower in the Birthday Blooms set as my focal point.

Birthday Blooms My Tanglewood Cottage Special Fold

The large flower is stamped on Whisper White paper than colored with markers.  I then cut a portion of the flower away and slipped an oval die under and around it to die cut out the oval shape, leaving a portion of the flower “breaking out” of the oval.  I stamped small flowers which are on the large stamp and then cut them out to add more detail to the card.  The leaves are made using the Bird Builder Punch.  The butterflies are from the Kinda Eclectic set and punched out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch.

When you pull on the ribbon the paper slides up to expose the greetings.  This card also opens like a basic card, I just could not get a good picture to share with you.

3-D Project – Berry Basket

I just recently bought the Berry Basket Die and have been busy making some for our booth at a local scrap-booking and stamping  event.   One of the other demonstrators in the booth made a birthday diansaur cake using the Cutie Pie Thinlits, so I made a basket to compliment the cake as a birthday favor. ( I hope I remember to take a picture of the cake to share with you later!)  We both used the No Bones About It stamp set and the Sprinkles of Life set to make our projects.

When you purchase the Sprinkles of Life set Stampin’ Up! will donate $3.00 to the Ronald McDonald House to keep families together and surrounded by love when their child is receiving medical treatment far away from home.

I filled a cellophane bag with toy dinosaurs to put in the basket and tied off the bag with Burlap Ribbon.

Don’t you think a little boy would just love getting this!

I used my fringed scissors to make the grass along the bottom of the basket.

It’s time for you to hop on over the see what the crafty Christine Giuda has to share with you for our March Madness hop.  She always has such wonderful projects and I know you will be “mad” about her creations this month!

Thanks for stopping by!

No Bones About It – Hello My Friend

It is raining here in Oregon today and I am so thankful.  Hoping it helps the firefighters who have had their hands full this year.  Everything is still very dry, we could use a lot more rain.   Our pond is the lowest I’ve seen it in the last 18 years.  The beavers hardly have any water to swim in.  Yes, I did say beavers.  We have a beaver family living on our property!

I am sharing another No Bones About It card.  I paired it with the Sprinkles of Life stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  This happy little dinosaur is out smelling the flowers on a clear day!  Of course she needed a shade tree to stand under when she gets too warm!

To create the land and sky I cut a piece of Soft Sky and a piece of Old Olive card stock with the Circle Collections Framelit Dies.  I then hand cut a small hill in the Old Olive piece and then glued them together.

The dinosaur was stamped on a piece of Rose Red card stock and fussy cut out.

Before dry embossing the Whisper White piece using the Large Polka Dot EF I stamped the “my friend” greeting using Night of Navy ink.

I got my Starter Kit today from Stampin’ Up!  I can hardly wait to use my new goodies!  My next few days are very busy, so I am hoping to squeeze in some stamping to share with you.

I wanted to share some more videos from Stampin’ Up! that showcase some of the new kits in the Holiday Catalog.  I hope you enjoy them.

No Bones About It – Gift Card Holder

I’m back to share another project using the No Bones About it stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  This set is perfect when you are new to stamping. And of course, for those stampers who don’t have enough stamps sets already and need a set with dinosaurs (LOL), it’s perfect for you too!   If offers awesome images to create a card, along with greetings that pair perfect with the images.

This gift card would be perfect for anyone – old and young alike.  The colors are vibrant and cheery.  I used four colors form the “Brights” family – Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Tempting Turquoise.

I fussy cut out several leaves and the dinosaur.  The Dinosaur is popped up with dimensionals.  I punched the greeting out with the 1 3/8″ circle punch and then used a die from the Circle Collection Framelits Dies (3rd smallest) to cut out a layer of Tempting Turquoise layer to go behind the greeting layer.

Since I have not received my Starter Kit yet that has my product from the new Holiday Catalog, I thought I’d share a few of videos Stampin’ Up! produced using the new holiday products.  Enjoy!

No Bones About It

I have some exciting news to share with you.

At the beginning of this year I had to give up my Stampin’ Up! demonstrator status due to illness.  Well, the Lord has been gracious to me and I am able to sign up again!  Over the week-end I filled out the paperwork and can now offer you the ability to order through my website!  Finish reading through this blog and see how you can earn some blog candy to celebrate with me!

I absolutely love the No Bones About It stamp set Stampin’ Up! offers because it makes the best birthday cards for my five year old grandsons, along with tags, bags and more.

The card I am sharing with you today was inspired by Michelle Last – she made the cutest slider card using this set.
It has been a long time since I made a slider card, so I searched Pinterest and found a tutorial that met my needs.  Gotta love Pinterest!

Don’t you just love this set.  Leave a comment on this post and let me know if you have this set yet and I will enter your name in a drawing for blog candy.  If you haven’t had a chance to order it, visit my store here today!

Tomorrow I will be sharing a cute gift card holder I made using the No Bones About It stamp set.  Until then have fun creating!
